• Your message, and an optional short note about lived experience.
• Your display preference and the permissions you selected.

What we never ask for

• Email addresses are not required to share your words.
• Last names are not required.
• Phone numbers are not collected.
• Mailing addresses are not collected.

Personal information is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing, research, or any other purpose.

Approved messages may be publicly visible on this website, or included in a printed or digital collection, depending entirely on the permission you selected when you wrote. If you chose print only, your message will not be shown on this site.

Please do not include highly sensitive personal medical details — diagnoses, medications, treatment records, or identifying details about other people — that you would not want published or read by someone else.

You may ask for your message to be removed at any time. Write to us through the contact form with your first name and the approximate date you wrote, and your message will be removed from the website and excluded from any future collection.

Messages are stored in a private database. Only the project administrator can read unpublished submissions.
