Our Moderation Promise
Words for Lindsay is intentionally different from social media and true-crime discussion spaces.
Every message is reviewed by a human before publication.
Messages may be declined if they contain:
- naming or directly addressing Lindsay's husband or children
- speculating about family members
- discussing what family members did, said, believed, or should have done
- discussing evidence, testimony, guilt, innocence, legal strategy, doctors, witnesses, jurors, or theories about what happened
- accusations or theories about any other person
- attacks on prosecutors, defense attorneys, medical professionals, witnesses, jurors, or family members
- graphic descriptions of what happened
- harassment, insults, threats, or cruelty
- attempts to diagnose Lindsay
- legal advice
- demands about what Lindsay should say, feel, remember, or do
- conspiracy theories
- political arguments
- promotional content
- fundraising requests
- links to unrelated websites
- content that appears exploitative or voyeuristic
A clear rule
We do not publish messages that name or directly address Lindsay’s husband or children.
Messages should be written to Lindsay only, and should focus on compassion, support, hope, shared experience, or humanity. References to “your husband,” “your children,” “your family,” or similar indirect wording may also be edited or declined if they shift the message away from Lindsay or become emotionally intrusive.
Messages do not have to defend Lindsay.
They simply have to be compassionate.
This is a place to write to Lindsay, not to argue about Lindsay.
